Elmire quatuor & Michel Dalberto
Worthy defender of french chamber music's repertoire, La Belle Saison came out of the shadows a mindblowing piece, written in 1917-1918 by an almost blind composer, devastated by his son's death at war, the Quintette pour piano et cordes of Louis Vierne is a masterpiece with exceptionnal dramatic intensity. With the piano, Michel Dalberto uses all his experience of french music to accompany his young Quatuor Elmire's comrades, a promising generation who made their debutes in La Belle Saison. The second Béla Bartók's quatuor, very inventive, make the richness of Europe musical's creation heard, despite the war.
