A collective work by Chiens de Navarre Directed and staged by Jean-Christophe Meurisse
≪ Our need for consolation is impossible to satisfy ≫ a strong statement by Stig Dagerman, alone in the depths of his Swedish forest. In the middle of the mountains as in the middle of red traffic lights, we all emit the same desperate scream, and follow the same continuous and painstaking search for consolation that moves us to continue to live and face the world.
That is why it’s so good to get together (in a circle and shoes off, preferably), to listen to each other, to wipe the slate clean and lick our wounds - at the risk of losing one’s mind or speech.  This is how the company Chiens de Navarre tries to live the spectacular experience of reconciliation with oneself. The better to question the sad child whose teeth chatter inside each of us.
≪Two things horrify me: the executioner in me and the axe above my head.≫ Stig Dagerman
≪ Cry, you’ll piss less. ≫ Anna Dagerman (the mother)
