A musical fugue is a form of counterpoint composition using the
principle of imitation. From the seventeenth century on, the name « fuga
» (from the Latin fugere, to run away) designates a composition
entirely based on this method. Separate voices form an ensemble, each
chases the other, which flees ahead of it. This is a story that takes
place on the South Pole, it is cold and it is about love and death, as
usual, and one sings when words are lacking, or when they do not
suffice.
