Gli Incogniti
Amandine Beyer
Founded by the violinist Amandine Beyer in 2006, the Baroque ensemble Gli Incogniti borrows its name from the Accademia degli Incogniti, Venetian academy known to be very active in the musical domain around 1630.
Like the members of this academy, musicians of the ensemble have a taste for experimenting, for unmarked paths, for hidden gold nuggets. Be it a question of saving composers from oblivion, resurrecting unknown works or giving a novel interpretation of the great classical works of the repertoire, Gli Incogniti and their contagious energy always come forward.
This concert will feature Franz Xaver Richter’s rarely performed Symphony n° 1, Joseph Haydn’s Concerto for violin n°1, a marginal genre in the vast production of the composer, as are symphonies in the catalogue of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach.
