Show - From 13 June 2012 to 16 June 2012
Adaptation Alain Zaepffel, stage production and performance Marcel Bozonnet
In 1996, Marcel Bozonnet created this little gem of theatre with the precision of a goldsmith. A delightful solo in which a man becomes the speaker for the most intimate thoughts of a woman, walking a tightrope of emotions. The occasion for a eulogy for this 17th century language sculptured with so much elegance to evoke the destiny of a life balanced between desire and virtue. From Caracas to Saint-Petersburg, from Algiers to London and Moscow, this play has been around the world but has never before been produced at the little theatre of the Elysée. For almost fifteen years, Marcel Bozonnet has made it the play of his life. The Princess of Cleves is an intimate rendez-vous for him that allows him to rediscover a friend and a confidante from whom he will never want to be separated.
